In conjunction with a group of outstanding San Diego Scripps Ranch High School Seniors, America’s Medical Society put together the 1st Annual Wounded Warriors/Freedom Run San Diego 2011 event–a 5 mile and 2 mile run around Lake Miramar in Northern San Diego. It was a huge success, with media coverage by NBC TV; $3,800 dollars was raised for the Wounded Warriors Foundation.
100% of the proceeds raised was donated to the Wounded Warriors in a formal ceremony. The high school seniors received official U.S. Congressional and State of California Assembly formal recognition (and certificates for their exemplary services to the community and America’s injured/fallen soldiers!).
America’s Medical Society is working to repeat the success of the 1st annual Freedom Run San Diego…
The date of the 2012 run is still yet to be determined, but donations are being collected in preparation for another great event. Formal run registration will begin in early 2012.
